Love is...all around:)

Actually we don't celebrate Valentine's Day in Bulgaria, but as I'm all for love and romance, I am more than happy that this holiday slowly gets acknowledged here as well!!!:)

My Valentine's Day was not anything special, but I enjoyed it anyway...:) First of all I was happy that we spent it at home and I could relax after the stressful week at work...:) We didn't go out in the evening, but had delicious home-made pizza for dinner - yummy!!!:) And, last but not least, I got a small gift from hubby - he gave me a DVD with three of my most favourite love movies - 'P.S. I Love You', 'The Notebook' and 'The Painted Veil' - which was definitely very, very sweet and thoughtful of him.:)))

During the weekend I saw 'Love Actually' /it's not a new movie, but it was the first time I saw it and I enjoyed it a lot - especially because Colin Firth plays in it;)/, 'Iron Man' /another one of those movies I could live without:P/ and 'Slumdog Millionaire' /a wonderful movie, which touched me deeply - great story, great acting:)/.

As I already mentioned, last week has been a busy one at work...;) I couldn't even celebrate my mother's birthday properly...:( It was on February 11th /Wedensday/ and then I had to go to the town of Kazanluck for a case.:( Luckily my dad drove me there and my mum came as well, so at least we could see each other and could even sit at a cafe when my work was done...:)

The other big news is that we finally had the kids' bedroom furnished!!!:D It's not that it was completely empty by now, not at all, but the furniture there was our old one which we bought in 2003 after moving to Plovdiv.;) As we were living in rented homes then, we had chosen some cheap and not so nice furniture...;) Now that we're living in our own flat we decided to change the furniture.:) We asked the guy who did our kitchen cupboards and bar counter to design and build some nice furniture for the kids... and he did!!!:) The furniture is a mix of blue and birch tree and it's very functional and good-looking!!!;) It matches perfectly the blue walls and blinds of the room!!!:) The kids got new matresses as well and they both like their changed room a lot!!!:))) There are still a few details to be completed and as soon as it's done, I'm going to share some pictures!!!;)

LOST again:)

Yes, yes, yes!!!:D The new season of LOST is on again and it's addicting and breath-taking as always!!!:D And Sawyer is more charming than ever!!!;)

Not everything that happened recently was that good, however... On January 20th /Tuesday/ I found out that the PC at my office wasn't working...:( I took it to the computer specialists and - surprise, surprise - they told me that the hard disk was totally destroyed and all of the information on it /work related documents, personal letters, lots of photos and videos/ were lost for good...:((( I was in a shock at first, but then pulled myslef together, realizing that there's nothing I can do about it, so there's no use of whining or feeling miserable...;)/. So I'm planning to gradually transfer them to my office PC again... Luckily I had been using that PC at my office since September, so only the newest documents were lost... The older ones are still safe and sound in my previous PC, which is still working /although it's very old and with Windows 98/...

Last weekend was a very nice one - on the Saturday /January 31st/ we visited Maria and Nickolay. We were supposed to do that on January 6th /Jordan's Day/ when the 'kumove' visit the young couple according to the tradition, bringing a cake, some 'rakiya' /strong alcohol drink/ and 'kravay' /a round bread with a hole in the middle/ for health...:) However, we couldn't make it to meet then, so had to postpone the visit... Unfortunately we couldn't find 'kravay' anywhere /what a shame:(/, so we bought a sweet 'kozunak' pita instead...;) We had a very nice time together!!!:)

The following day /Sunday, February 1st/ was Saint Trifon, so we were invited at our friends Dobri and Vanya /whose son had a name day/.:) And it was another fun and lovely evening with these great people!!!:D

In January I finally finished 'High Noon'.:) It was my first Nora Roberts book and I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised!!!;) Good book, fun and easy to read!!!:)

I saw quite a few movies in January - 'City of Ember' /boring and silly - a real waste of time...:(/, 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' /brilliant movie - beautiful, touching, great acting...:)/, XIII /great action scenes, exciting and interesting:)/, 'Transporter 3' /except of some really good action scenes the movie was nothing special/, 'The Librarian 2' /a very good movie - interesting, full of adventures and fun moments:)/, 'Godsend' /the movie was first very sad, then became simply horrible...:(/, 'Vicky Christina Barcelona' /sweet, unusual, with both funny and sad moments - I loved it!!!:) As for the actors, they were simply hilarious!!!:)/, 'Arn: The Knight Templar' /as I love everything about the Middle Ages, I enjoyed this movie a lot...;)/, 'Arn: The Kingdom at Road's End' /the second movie was not as interesting as the first unfortunately:(/, 'Changeling' /a wonderful movie, which deeply touched me... Angelina Jolie proved she's not only beautiful and sexy, but a great actress as well...:)/, 'Outlander' /too much blood and violence... But I like fantasy movies, so I survived!!!:P/ and 'Zift' /a Bulgarian movie, which I loved - it was sad, funny, philosophical, full of meataphors, cynical... and somehow reminded me of Tarantino in a way...:)))/.
