A new home, Minnie's 19th birthday, Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations...

I saw only one movie in November – ‘Terminator: Genysis’.  It was full of action, excitement and amazing special effects, I greatly enjoyed it!:)

December was a very exciting month… On December 2nd /Wednesday/ my husband and I bought a flat in Sofia. It’s in a very nice neighbourhood, very close to a tube station /such a location is very important for the capital/, on the last /seventh/ floor of a new building /from 2013/ and consists of an open plan kitchen/dining room, two bedrooms, a big balcony /we’re planning to put some garden furniture there and to make barbecues, etc. when the weather is nice/, a bathroom and a toilet…:) We moved there on December 20th /Sunday/ and even though it’s not big, it’s comfortable and cozy, so I hope I’ll finally feel at home in Sofia…:)

December 11th  /Friday/ was Minnie’s 19th  birthday…:)  She didn’t want big celebrations, just went out with two groups of friends /from her school from her university/…:) We had a special dinner and a cake, of course…:) Minnie got some money for her birthday which she spent for new clothes, shoes and books…:)

My last day at work was December 18th  and since then I was off for two weeks /until January 4th /…:) Of course, I was busy with the moving and all, but I still managed to attend the Christmas party of the law firm I’m working at…:) It was nice to meet the colleagues outside the office…:) And to wear the new black lace dress my hubby gave me for Christmas…:)

We celebrated Christmas in Karlovo as always…:) My mother-in-law had prepared delicious traditional Christmas Eve meal and this time it was Vanyo’s turn to find the coin into his piece of the ‘pitka’.:)  And when we finished eating, the children found their presents under the Christmas tree…:) Minnie got three books from her dad and me – ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ and ‘Quidditch Through the Ages’ by J.K.Rowling /it was her wish/ and ‘Hobbit’ by J.R.R.Tolkien /which was a surprise/. Vanyo got two ‘Lego Star Wars’ sets from his dad and me /it was his wish to get one, so the second was a surprise/…:) Both children got money from their grandparents to spend as they wish…:)

During the Christmas holidays we also visited my parents and had a wonderful time with them as always, enjoying some great food and an interesting conversation…:)

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at our new home in Sofia…:) We had a special dinner and wine, danced a bit and enjoyed the fireworks /we had perfect views from the balcony and from the bedroom skylights/…:) As always, the children had fun with the ‘survakane’.:) The fortunes we found in the special New Year’s ‘banitza’, were: ‘love’ for Vlado, ‘travel’ for me, ‘health’ for Minnie, ‘success’ for Vanyo and ‘good luck’ for Teddy…:)

I saw only six movies in December: ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ /great entertainment for the whole family:)/, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ /such a disappointment...:( The only thing I liked about this movie was Tom Hardy.../, ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ /another great entertainment for the whole family:)/, ‘Jupiter Ascending’ /the story was silly, but there was much tension, action and incredible special effects... :) Some mindless entertainment - why not!?:)/, ‘The Imitation Game’ /I just loved this movie - it was beautiful and touching...:) And Benedict Cumberbatch was simply incredible...:)/ and ‘Tomorrowland’ /I liked the idea but the movie as a whole was nothing special...:(/

I managed to read one book in December – ‘Twilight’ by Stephenie Meyer…  I was pleasantly surprised by it...:) It turned out much better than I expected - great writing style, exciting story /even for me, who dislikes vampires/, and an incrdible sense of humour...:)
